Nearly 16.1 Million Passenger Trips Handled by the Civil Aviation Sector during the 2024 National Day Holiday
During the 2024 National Day holiday (October 1-7), China’s civil aviation sector transported a total of nearly 16.1 million passengers, with an average of 2.3 million per day, an increase of 22% compared with the National Day holiday in 2019 and 11% compared with the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday in 2023. In total, 128,000 flights were performed, with an average of 18,306 flights per day, an increase of 11.2% compared with the National Day holiday in 2019 and 9.3% compared with the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday in 2023. The flight regularity rate stood at 96.9%, up by 4% from the level recorded during the National Day holiday in 2019 and 2.3% from the level recorded during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday in 2023.
