From March 24 to 25, Zhang Qingwei, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, led a research team in Beijing to conduct surveys regarding amendments to the Civil Aviation Law. The team visited Beihang University, relevant departments of CAAC, and civil aviation-related enterprises, holding symposiums to gather opinions and suggestions on the draft amendment to the Civil Aviation Law.

The research team acknowledged the achievements of relevant entities in promoting the development of the civil aviation industry and enhancing aviation safety management. Zhang Qingwei emphasized the need to thoroughly study and act in line with General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on the development of civil aviation, strictly implement the decisions and plans made by the CPC Central Committee, strengthen airworthiness capacity building, vigorously develop the low-altitude economy, better coordinate development and safety, and promote the high-quality development of civil aviation in the new era. Zhang stressed that it is essential to adapt to the needs of new developments, make earnest efforts in refining the draft amendment to the Civil Aviation Law, and effectively improve the quality of legislation to provide a solid legal foundation for the sustainable and healthy development of the civil aviation industry.
