The 2025 National Civil Aviation Work Conference Held in Beijing
On January 9, the 2025 National Civil Aviation Work Conference was held in Beijing. Focusing on the guidance of Xi Jinping Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the conference fully implemented the philosophies of the 20th CPC National Congress, and its Second and Third Plenary Sessions, the Central Economic Work Conference, as well as the National Transportation Work Conference. On that basis, the conference summarized the work in 2024, analyzed the situation and deployed key tasks in 2025. Minister of Transport Liu Wei was present at the conference and delivered a speech. CAAC Administrator Song Zhiyong delivered a working report entitled Consolidate the Safety Foundation and Improving the Quality of Development, Write a Civil Aviation Chapter in Accelerating the Building of a Strong Transport Nation. CAAC Deputy Administrators Hu Zhenjiang, Han Jun, Ma Bing and Liang Nan attended the conference and Hu Zhenjiang presided over the meeting. Relevant leaders of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection in the Ministry of Transport, and leaders from state ministries, civil aviation entities and industries attended the conference.
The 2025 National Civil Aviation Work Conference
In the conference, the expected targets and indicators for the industrial development in 2025 was put forward: the total transport turnover be 161 billion ton-kilometers, passenger transport volume 780 million, cargo and mail transport volume 9.5 million tons, and the industrial profits be further improved.
Seven key tasks of civil aviation in 2025 were identified in the conference. First, strengthen the sense of responsibility, and firmly guard the bottom line of aviation safety. Second, boost consumption and expand domestic demand, and promote steady and balanced growth in transport operation. Third, use planning as the guidance to consolidate the foundation for high-quality industrial development. Fourth, aim for world-class status, and strive to build world-class airlines, first-class airports, air navigation service, and supporting companies. Fifth, maximize efforts to promote general aviation and low-altitude economy, with everyone’s responsibilities as a foothold. Sixth, deepen reform to create a better market oriented, law-based, and internationalized business environment. Seventh, strengthen party-building with stricter discipline.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the key tasks and requirements in 2025 depicted in the National Civil Aviation Work Report, and put forward their opinions and suggestions.
