On November 19, a working meeting on the establishment of CAAC High-quality Development Research Center and on the launch of the first batch of research subjects and pilot projects was held in Civil Aviation University of China. At the meeting, the establishment of CAAC High-quality Development Research Center was announced, and a list of projects was made public, consisting of 75 pilot research projects declared by 49 units. CAAC Deputy Administrator Dong Zhiyi unveiled the center and delivered a speech.
CAAC High-quality Development Research Center was established with the approval of the Party Group of CAAC. Its main responsibility is to organize and carry out, under the guidance of the new development concept, basic academic and applied research for the high-quality civil aviation development, and enrich the connotation of high-quality civil aviation development with “new ideas, well-defined goals, strong incentives, clear paths and optimal economic performance”, so as to promote and achieve high-quality civil aviation development. The research subjects and pilot projects related to the China civil aviation high-quality development index framework system aim to further validate and improve the previously published China Civil Aviation High-quality Development Index Framework System (for trial implementation), so as to make it an effective and measurable policy tool guiding the high-quality civil aviation development in China.
